It’s looking like [adult swim] is trying to inject some life into its flagship comedy show, Aqua Teen Hunger Force. Granted, the show hasn’t made much of a blip on the cultural radar for the last few years, probably because new episodes have been few and far between.
But that doesn’t mean there’s no hope for Meatwad, Master Shake, and Frylock. The trio is going to be relaunched with a new name, and a new show because, “the creators of the show were unhappy with the pilot episode and subsequent 99 episodes” so they are retooling the show as Aqua Unit Patrol Squad 1. The show’s location is also moving from their suburbs of New Jersey to Seattle. And finally, they’ve ditched the Schooly D theme song and recruited Josh Homme from Queens Of The Stone Age to perform the theme song. New episodes will premiere on May 8th.
Here’s the rundown delivered by the much more entertaining Meatwad.
