Aziz Ansari’s sweetly smart rom-com, Master of None, is about to release its second season on Netflix, and we’ve finally got our first look at what went down after the first season’s bit of a cliffhanger (above).
At the end of Master of None’s first ten-episode run, Dev (Ansari) and Rachel (Noel Wells) hit a low on their mood swing-y new romance, after attending a wedding together and realizing that – even though they’ve basically just started dating – they both have reservations about a future together. Faced with big choices, both of them melted down, opting to make huge life changes – Rachel heading to Tokyo, Dev to Italy – instead of facing reality.
From the look of it, Dev’s back in the dating game (with bff Eric Wareheim, and guest stars John Legend and Bobby Cannavale), with no sign of Rachel (so far); and, it looks like Ansari, who also directed several episodes, is back at it with the beautiful cinematography and amazing locations.
Master of None season two hits Netflix May 12th.
