Aziz Ansari’s “Right Now” special will hit Netflix in a little bit

Aziz Ansari is back to focusing on his stand-up comedy. It makes sense too, after achieving incredible heights for his work on TV and his series Masters of None, an accusation at the peak #MeToo left many wondering if in fact his story was one of a bad date or something more sinister. After addressing the issue, Ansari appeared to take the opportunity to to focus on the stage where most great comedians come up with material based on what’s happening in their lives. Aziz hit the road (a lot if international dates) and today Netflix announced they’ll premiere Ansari’s next special Right Now on July 9th where we’d imagine Ansari will discuss how the last 2 years of his life have changed in the Spike Jones-directed special. A teaser hit the web today and it also appears Aziz is getting some good mileage outta that Metallica t-shirt we saw him wearing last November at the Goddamn Comedy Jam during the New York Comedy Festival where he ripped through a few metal covers.
