Bert Kreischer interviewing Adam Sandler was one of the greatest things that happened this weekend

April 7, 2020      Andrew Buss      Bert Kreischer, News

Over the weekend, Comedy Gives Back was streamed all over the internet. The benefit, which was to raise funds for up-and-coming comedians not working during Covid-19, spammed over 8 hours and included the biggest names in comedy. Some of them included Bob Saget, Howie Mandel, Tom Segura, Bill Burr, Whitney Cummings, Bobby Lee, Iliza Schlesinger, Russell Peters, David Spade, Jeff Ross and Dave Attell, Patton Oswalt, Roy Wood Jr., Drew Carrey, Bert Kreischer, and Adam Sandler.

Whitney Cummings was supposed to introduce and interview Adam Sandler for 10 minutes. Simple enough. But when her neighbor, Bert Kreischer, found out that she would be the one talking to his idol, he drove over to her house and hilariously took over the whole operation.

What followed was nothing short of spectacular, as we watched Bert Kreischer say everything you would not want to say when you talk to your idol. These included calling his films the wrong names (Precious Gems and Happy Madison, before eventually correcting himself with the latter), asking him if he has Netflix, a funny rambling Randy Savage/Fred Savage story, and ending with asking him a legitimate pretty good question that got shot down so quickly.

In the end, everything seemed fine, as Sandler apparently wound up spending the next day watching Bert’s special.

Thank u for LaughAid. Had fun talking to @WhitneyCummings and @bertkreischer. Watching Bert’s special now. Funny as hell. pic.twitter.com/8guxssSgIz

Without a doubt, this was the highlight of a very long night. And we’re sure this is going to wind up being, and has already become, a staple of Bert Kreischer’s Twitter account.

Later during the broadcast, Big Jay Oakerson and Dan Soder noted the mistake and hilariously addressed it. A moment Kreischer hilariously addressed on his Instagram account.
