Bill Cosby is looking to start touring in 2023

December 29, 2022      Andrew Buss      Bill Cosby, News, Stand-Up

Last year, Bill Cosby was released from prison over a technicality, after being found guilty on rape charges in 2019. Now, Cosby – who is facing new rape charges – is planning on hitting the road in 2023.

According to Variety, Cosby did a radio interview with WGH Talk yesterday. During the surprise interview, he told the host that he plans to return to stand-up next year.

“When I come out of this, I feel that I will be able to perform and be the Bill Cosby that my audience knows me to be,” Cosby told the host.

When asked if next year will be the year, he said “Yes. Yes, because there’s so much fun to be had in this storytelling that I do. Years ago, maybe 10 years ago, I found it was better to say it after I write it.”

Cosby hasn’t toured as a stand-up since 2015, when he played any venues that were willing to have him before the allegations turned litigious and he was sentenced to 10 to 30 years in prison in 2019.
