It’s been a year since we’ve seen the likes of Stefan and Nitro on SNL, and while we all wish our favorite cast members can stay in Studio 8H forever, it looks like Bill Hader is on to the next big thing. Hader is moving from supporting player to lead actor in a new show for HBO. The Emmy nominated SNL alum has signed a development deal with the network to create and star in his own comedy show.
Outside of Rockefeller center, Hader has made a name for himself playing smaller, supporting roles in films like Hot Rod, Adventureland, Superbad, and Forgetting Sarah Marshall while lending his voice to a various array of projects. Hader also teamed up with his ole pal Kristen Wiig to co-star in the Sundance hit drama The Skeleton Twins set for a September release. Hader also flexed his writing skills writing for the last season of South Park after being a consultant on the show for the past few seasons. While nothing is known yet about Hader’s new show, I’m already putting it down on my “most anticipated” list for whatever year it sees the light.
