It’s been a while, 23 years exactly, since the world lost Bill Hicks to pancreatic cancer. But his legacy has only grown in that time. Fans have released documentaries, re-issued his albums, and posted a lot of his material online. Now, a new recording will be added into the mix on April 14th.
Comedy Dynamics announced its plans to release, Live In Montreal. Hick’s performance recorded in 1991 at the Centaur Theatre during the Montreal International Comedy Festival (aka Just For Laughs). It’s a document of Hicks near the peak of his creative output of his classic dark humor.
“Bill Hicks’ performance at the Montreal Comedy Festival was legendary. It’s very exciting to be releasing this new audio version of Bill Hicks’ comedy for the first time,” said Brian Volk-Weiss, CEO of Comedy Dynamics/The Nacelle Company.
