Mr. Show fans rejoice! It may not be exactly a reunion tour, but the classic sketch comedy show’s creators Bob Odenkirk and David Cross have announced plans for a mini-tour this September (their first national tour together since 2002). And as an added bonus, none other than comedian and fellow Mr. Show cohort Brian Posehn will also be appearing on the tour.
The trek will find the three performing in five cities this September (including New York, Boston and San Francisco), with an additional stop at the Tenacious D festival in October. The shows are in support of the three’s new book, Hollywood Said No!, a collection of rejected screenplays and sketches they wrote together. According to Odenkirk’s Twitter account, the tour will feature stand-up sets from all three as well as sketch comedy. While it’s a shame that it’s only a handful of dates, we’re just excited to get the chance to see all three on the same stage again. And who knows, maybe more will come considering a certain show’s 20th anniversary is just a few years away.
