Years before Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, and his new action film Nobody, Bob Odenkirk was the kind of guy that die-hard comedy fans wished more people knew about. While Mr. Show with Bob and Dave was what he was most associated with, he was also a writer for Saturday Night Live, appeared on The Ben Stiller Show and The Larry Sanders Show, and even directed goofy comedy movies like Let’s Go To Prison and The Brothers Solomon.
Now, Odenkirk is taking a look back on all those aspects of his career in a memoir that is fittingly titled Comedy Comedy Comedy Drama. The book, which is being released by Random House, will come out sometime in 2022.
“Comedy Comedy Comedy Drama charts Odenkirk’s winding journey from nowhere comedy clubs to drama and acting with a capital A,” said Random House in its announcement. “Featuring never-before-seen photos, wild characters, and laugh-out-loud stories, all delivered with Python-esque wit and writing chops, Comedy Comedy Comedy Drama is sure to delight Odenkirk’s longtime followers and introduce him to new fans of his dramatic work as an artist of incredible range and depth.”
