We’re extremely happy to announce the next release on our record label TLB Records, and that is for the debut stand-up album from NY comedian Brendan Sagalow. The album, called Now More Than Ever was safely recorded on a Manhattan rooftop venue in the midst of the pandemic last fall and serves as a testament to the resilience of stand-up, proving that no virus can stop the force of New York comic cynicism. With equal parts confident social observations and cutting self-deprecation, Sagalow deftly and defiantly runs a great set in front of a hungry audience. Brendan is the co-host of the Garbage Days podcast as well as Here’s The Scenario with his pals Mike Feeney and Mike Cannon.
“I have been working for over ten years in stand up comedy preparing for this album,” says Sagalow of his inaugural release. “I named it Not Now More Than Ever because I felt that if I don’t pursue my dream of putting out a comedy record now, I may never get a chance to again. Then again, I probably shouldn’t because we are in the middle of something very serious, hence ‘Not Now More than Ever’.”
Starting now, you can exclusively check out Not Now More Than Ever a full weekend before it’s released, streaming on Pandora as well as a handful of full album stream parties this weekend on SiriusXM’s Raw Dog Comedy channel 99. Then, on Friday, January 22nd, the entire album will be available everywhere.
