“Broad City” and “Key & Peele” give convincing arguments as to why they deserve an Emmy

Every year networks and executives do their best impression of a US senator and campaign for award consideration. Sometimes it’s annoying, and sometimes it’s just delightful. Comedy Central revealed two new billboards for their newest runaway hits Key & Peele and Broad City, providing the most convincing arguments as to why Emmy voters should give them the nod. Solid points all around.
Both shows are brilliant on their own, and deserve Emmy consideration. Personal suggestion: Broad City, episode 2 “Pu$$y Weed.” An episode too good to believe it’s from a show’s first season. In it, the girls, CC’s new power duo Ilana Glazer and Abbi Jacobson, get high and try to do their taxes. Nuff said, Emmy please.
As for Key & Peele: it’s hard to pick just one episode. However, the return of the East/West Bowl players, inner-city substitute Mr. Garvey, and the newscasters arguing over the dangers of “black ice” should earn Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele an Emmy of their own.
