The boys of the Broken Lizard comedy group are reportedly developing a sitcom with TBS. Responsible for films like Super Troopers and Beerfest, the group will write and act in the a new show called Quality Time.
According to Variety, the series’ plot revolves around older versions of the guys, “as they struggle through various challenges of adult misery and child rearing and attempt to hang on to the idiotic freedom of their irresponsible pre-parental lives.”
Steve Lemme, Kevin Heffernan, Paul Soter, and Erik Stolhanske are all reportedly on board to both act and write the series, with Steven Amato set to produce. However, it has yet to be mentioned whether Broken Lizard’s fifth member, and director of Super Troopers, Jay Chandraskekhar will be involved in the project.
