CBS has ordered a new pilot from Chuck Lorre. The guy who brought us shoes like Two and a Half Men, Mike and Molly, Big Bang Theory, and The Kominsky Method has had a long-standing deal with the network. He currently has three shows running on the network with Mom, Young Sheldon, and Bob Hearts Abishola. This is the second pilot he has in the works at CBS, with the other being The United States of Al, which was ordered for pilot back in October.
The pilot, which is called B Positive, is described as centering “around newly divorced dad Drew, who is at the end of his rope when face when finding a kidney donor. Fortunately, he runs into Gina, a rough-around-the edges woman from his past who volunteers her own. Together they form an unlikely bond and begin a journey that will change both of their lives.”
Working with Lorre on this pilot is Marco Pennette. Pennette has previously worked with Lorre on creating Mom. The pilot is being produced by Warner Brothers Productions. More information will probably become available if the series ends up getting picked up for series.
