Center Stage: Iliza Shlesinger

If you recognize Iliza Shlesinger good! Because she spent some time winning over other comedians on the 6th season of Last Comic Standing. She had her own Comedy Central special this past year, been on late night television shows like Last Call With Carson Daly and Chelsea Lately, she’s even performed steadily around colleges and at various comedy festivals including the coveted Just For Laughs festival in Montreal. So recognizing her means that you are paying attention.

The next year is looking good for this Iliza, she will release a new comedy CD called Iliza Live which will be followed up with a DVD release in early 2011. She’ll be on the road through the rest of 2010, and every Tuesday hosts her own web series The Weakly News with Iliza on thestream.tv and writes a hilarious blog, That’s My Nightmare about things that should annoy more people on this planet.
