Check out the first episodes of HBO’s new comedies

Sunday evening, HBO premiered two new comedies, Ja’mie: Private School Girl and Getting On. And for a network that’s generally very protective of their original shows, it’s surprising to see that they’ve put the first episode of each show on YouTube for free viewing. Ja’mie is an extension of Chris Lilley‘s Australian mockumentary Summer Heights High, focusing on a private school exchange student at a public school. Getting On stars Family Guy‘s Alex Borstein, Laurie Metcalf and Niecy Nash. Set at a women’s extended care facility, the show is an American version of a BBC series. Unlike Ja’mie, it’s not embeddable, but you can go here to watch it.
