Peacock may be one of the newest streaming platforms, but they’ve been diving in head first when it comes to all things nostalgia. First, they brought us back to Bayside for the Saved By The Bell reboot. Now? They’re bringing back Punky Brewster.
“In this continuation of the iconic 80s sitcom about a bright young girl raised by a foster dad,” the official synopsis reads, “Punky is now a single mother of three trying to get her life back on track when she meets Izzy, a young girl in the foster system who reminds Punky a lot of her younger self.”
Soleil Moon Frye is back reprising her role as Punky Brewster, the same role she originally played from 1984 until 1988. Joining her in the cast is Freddie Prinze Jr., who plays her ex-husband Travis.
Punky Brewster debuts on Peacock on February 25th.
