Pete Holmes is in the middle of shooting a new series for CBS called Smallwood. The comedian is coming off 3 seasons of his HBO series Crashing which was loosely based on his early life attempting to become a stand-up comedian. Now, it’s time for the multi-camera sitcom for Holmes. One where he attempts to become a professional bowler. The pilot was written by Mark Gross, and the project is based on professional bowler Tom Smallwood’s life.
Peep the show description.
Here’s the thing Tom Smallwood (Pete Holmes) knows about bowling: You get two chances. No matter what you do with the first ball, you get another roll to make it right. A story of the ultimate second chance, Smallwood tells of a Detroit assembly-line worker who, with the consent of his loving wife (Katie Lowes), decides to turn an unexpected lay-off into a dream-fulfilling new job as a pro bowler. Based on the true “modern-day Michigan fable” of three-time PBA Tour winner Tom Smallwood, it’s coming soon to CBS.
Today CBS shared some behind-the-scenes photos of Holmes shooting the show along with his fellow cast members Chi McBride, Malcom Barrett, and Katie Lowes.
