A few weeks ago we posted a story about Chelsea Handler getting her own sitcom. Now since we are such good journalists we are following up that story with some new info that has come along. Suck on that CNN.
NBC is planning on adapting her memoirs Are You There Vodka? It’s Me Chelsea, which we gave away to a couple of lucky Laugh Button readers in one of our contests, into a multi-camera sitcom about Handler in her twenties. The main character’s name will be Chelsea but she will not be a comedian and show will be adapted by Dharma & Greg co-creators Dottie Zicklin and Julie Larson.
So just to clarify, this will be a show about a young twenty something and her search for love while dealing the absurdities of life, done by the same people as Dharma & Greg?
It’s good to see that network television executives are given access to a talent as funny and original as Chelsea Handler they really take advantage of it.
I am going to drink now and watch Louie.
