Update 6.24.20 After a day of the D’Elia loosing some of his industry representation, Page Six was handed emails from his reps appear to have been omitted from some of his accuser’s initial damning Tweets and show there was more to the story with some of the most damning accusations. Including one of his accusers being indirect about her age. One showing D’Elia ending a conversation with one accuser once he learned her real age. Perhaps the most damming is one which shows the original accuser reaching out to the comedian years after their first encounter stating she was now, “21 and ready to f*ck” long after D’Elia cut off communication to her because of her age.
Update 6.17.20: D’Elia released a statement to TMZ denying the allegations
“I know I have said and done things that might have offended people during my career, but I have never knowingly pursued any underage women at any point.” Chris goes on to say, “All of my relationships have been both legal and consensual and I have never met or exchanged any inappropriate photos with the people who have tweeted about me.”
Late last night (and well into this morning), you might’ve noticed that comedian Chris D’Elia was trending on Twitter. This is because the comedian was accused of sexual misconduct and harassment by underage girls on social media. Here are the details as we currently know them.
It began Twitter user by the name of Simoné tweeted the following. “i still can’t believe netflix cast chris d’elia as the pedophile in season to of “you” like the literal IRONY[.]” She followed it up with a thread which showed emails between her and an assumed D’Elia (the address was blocked out) when she was 16 years old. He begins the email by telling her he’s in her area, and she asks if he wants to meet up, he replies “yessss can we make out?”

Simoné follows it up stating, “for the longest time i thought it was embarrassing for ME that i was interacting with this older man[,]” in another tweet. “but he was the one who DM’d me on twitter and was the one who was twice my age and was the one that used the power imbalance between us to his advantage so f*ck chris d’elia[.]”
This was just the tipping point, though. After those statements went live, dozens more stories came out of the woodwork.
Another Twitter user, Abby Grills, shared a story about the time she messaged D’Elia after a show. “Alright y’all, I went back to my 2011 Facebook messenger and found the DMs from Chris D’Elia being creepy and persistent to me when I was 17 (more in thread)[.]” She did, in fact, tell him she was 17 and he seemingly backed off, but wound up messaging her again over a year later once she had turned 18. That isn’t illegal, obviously, but also doesn’t sit well, either.

Another user, @mattekinzz, shared an exchange he had with a friend where she says that D’Elia had added her on Instagram when she was 17, had asked for nudes, and even tried to offer to fly her out to California. She then states that they had moved their exchange over to Snapchat, and shares a photo of his handle as evidence.

There have also been anonymous accounts coming forward as well. One recounted “Chris D’Elia sexually assaulted my sister back in 2014 when she was 17. She went out to LA and met him. He then kept giving her alcohol until she was basically unconscious and had sex with her.” (The legal age of consent in Los Angeles is 18). There have also been other stories of 17 year olds going back with him to his hotel room.
“When I was a senior in high school,” another wrote anonymously, “I went to his show & tweeted to him, he then private messaged me and told me to “keep it private”[.] I still have the screenshots. He then tried to hook up with my friend and I in his hotel room and keep like patting the bed to come sit down but we were 17 so we got creeped out and left[.]”
Story developing.
