When they say that there’s a big change happening at Saturday Night Live, they aren’t kidding. Since the show’s season finale in May, Pete Davidson, Aidy Bryant, Kate McKinnon, Kyle Mooney, Aristotle Athari, Alex Moffat, and Melissa Villaseñor.
Yesterday night, we learned about the latest cast member departing the landmark sketch show. Chris Redd, who has been with the show since 2017, announced he’s leaving.
“Being a part of SNL has been the experience of a lifetime. Five years ago, I walked into 30 Rock knowing that this was an amazing opportunity for growth,” Redd said in a statement. “Now, with friends who have become family and memories I will cherish forever, I’m grateful to [creator] Lorne Michaels and to the entire SNL organization. From the bottom of my heart, I can’t thank you all enough.”
So there you have it. Something tells us, before the show’s premiere on October 1st, we’ll be seeing even more announcements like this. Everyone is saying this will be a big transition year. We look forward to seeing what comes next.
