Chris Rock will be the first comedian to livestream on Netflix

November 10, 2022      Andrew Buss      Chris Rock, News

Netflix is taking its first steps into live-streaming. And Chris Rock is kicking things off.

Next year, Chris Rock will be the first comedian to ever perform live on Netflix in a global streaming event. This will be the first time Netflix will use the technology, which they first announced back in May. This will also be Rock’s second special for Netflix.

“Chris Rock is one of the most iconic and important comedic voices of our generation,” said Robbie Praw, Netflix VP of Stand-up and Comedy Formats. “We’re thrilled the entire world will be able to experience a live Chris Rock comedy event and be a part of Netflix history. This will be an unforgettable moment and we’re so honored that Chris is carrying this torch.”
