Cipha Sounds will go on a search for Hip Hop’s biggest treasures in new A&E series

This year hip-hop is turning 50 and we’ve seen more than a few celebratory events in honor of the milestone. Whether it be a stacked Grammy performance, documentaries, or a new TV series hosted by NY’s own DJ/Comedian Cipha Sounds. The comic is doing his part by hosting an upcoming A&E series, Hip Hop Treasures.
The premise is simple, Cipha travels the nation looking for memorabilia and artifacts that are relevant to the genre as if he were curating a hip-hop museum. Meeting up with legends in the scene to discuss iconic gear, clothing, images, posters, and everything in between that helped shape the world of hip-hop as we know it.
The show is a joint partnership between the A&E Network, Pulse Films, The Universal Hip Hop Museum, and LL Cool J’s Rock The Bells. Hip Hop Treasures premieres on A&E Saturday, August 12th at 10pm ET.
