Stand-up / noted sports fan Sam Morril is getting his own late night show on the MSG Network, reports Page Six.
Owned by the Madison Square Garden company — home of Morril’s beloved Knicks — the MSG Network also hosts cooking-slash-sports show Four Courses with JB Smoove.
Morril’s show, titled People Talking Sports* (*and Other Stuff), will feature contributions from friend and fellow NYC-based comic Joe Machi — “he will be a villain who trolls athletes a la Skip Bayless,” Morril told The Comic’s Comic — plus lots of visits from comics and athletes alike.
“I don’t want to make any guarantees,” Morril told Page Six, “but I believe the momentum from my soon-to-be hit show will carry the Knicks into next year’s playoffs.”
People Talking Sports* (*and Other Stuff) premieres July 10th.
