At the start of the pandemic, there were a lot of questions as to what comedy was going to look like. We knew it would look different, but basically everything was up in the air. Well now, as we’re still in the middle of the pandemic, Comedy Dynamics has figured out a safe way to get some more stand-up specials on film.
Earlier this week, the founder of Comedy Dynamics announced that they’re going to partner with The Tribeca Film Festival at the Rose Bowl to film some new comedy specials. The four comedians involved in this are Dave Helem, Ester Steinberg, Daniel Webb, and Erica Rhodes.
The dates for the taping of the specials are July 9th through the 12th. Tickets can be found here. For every ticket purchased through the Tribeca Film website, a percentage will go towards Black Lives Matter.
We do hope this unconventional approach to filming a comedy special is successful so we can get some more specials filmed!
