Earlier this year, Apple TV + announced that they had exclusive streaming rights to A Charlie Brown Christmas. This did not go over well for those who have made a yearly tradition out of watching the classic special on network TV, as it has since it debuted in 1965. The outcry was enough that caused Apple TV+ to relent and allow PBS to air the special Sunday night.
Well, this being a different sort of holiday season, Conan O’Brien unveiled a more timely and socially accurate special that we really wish was a real thing. It’s 2020, Charlie Brown finds our favorite Peanuts tackling the alleged voter fraud in the presidential election, being hit hard financially by the pandemic, systemic racism, and even a modern day song request for Shroeder (WAP, of course).
Seriously, how do we make this a real thing that happens??
