Creators of “The Other Two” have a new series in the works at HBO

It seems like moving to HBO Max was just the push that The Other Two needed.
The series – which debuted its second season on HBO Max last month after having its first season over at Comedy Central – has been a hit with fans and critics alike. While the show’s first season was popular back in 2019, not unlike Schitt’s Creek, streaming has helped it reach a wider audience. And now the show’s creators Chris Kelly and Sarah Schneider have their next project lined up over with HBO.
Kelly and Schneider’s new series will be a dark psychological comedy set in the year 2000 that will follow “a closeted gay teen who constantly dissociates and imagines he’s a famous (straight) actor merely playing the role. That is, until he meets someone who upends his entire way of thinking.”
The former SNL head writers Kelly and Schneider are writing the series and will also executive produce alongside Adam and Naomi Scott. The show is still in its early stages, but it’s great to see the pair has the next thing in the works!
