It’s been an interesting 12 months for Dan Levy. During the pandemic, the final season of Schitt’s Creek, which had always been a cult favorite, finally seemed to break into the mainstream thanks mostly to Netflix. The show swept the 2020 Emmy Awards, with Levy going home with multiple awards as both the co-creator and one of the stars.
Now Levy is hosting Saturday Night Live this weekend with musical guest Phoebe Bridgers. And while this is his first time hosting the show, his father did host back in 80’s alongside his SCTV cast member the late John Candy. And judging from the promos, he seems genuinely excited to be there. (Even though Phoebe Bridgers did decline the chance to make up a song for him on the spot. Oh well).
