Pull out your calendars and mark them for July 27th. That’s the date that the long-rumored, most exciting, yet probably most rumored secret in comedy is happening. That’s right, Dan Soder and Big Jay Oakerson will begin to host their SiriusXM radio show on the satellite radio’s Comedy Central channel 95. The show will air weekdays during primetime drive 6-8pm. What we haven’t heard yet was the proper name of the show.
Last year, The Soder Show with Big Jay Oakerson aired on SiriusXM’s airwaves for a series of test shows. Ever since, we’d hear rumors that an actual show with the duo, getting equal billing, was happening. Both comedians would address such rumors on podcasts, in interviews (yes, even on that one where Jay cried), Reddit AMAs, and in person. But details seemed sparse, and it seemed like the show would never happen. Until this week, seemingly out of the blue, dates and times were revealed for the show on not one, but two separate podcasts – The SDR Show and Skeptic Tank – and we only have to wait until the end of July for it to happen.
So make sure your SiriusXM subscription is up to date and prepare to have your earholes rocked. You should also dive into those test episodes to familiarize yourself with your next favorite radio show. Congrats boys.
