It was recently announced that Dave Attell and Comedy Central are teaming up to bring us not only a new uncensored late night series, but also an all-new one-hour special. President of content development and original programing, Kent Alterman, comically spoke about Comedy Central’s new Attell additions “When I was first approached for this, I thought someone said ‘Dave Chappelle,” said Alterman. “I immediately said yes. I love Dave Attell, too, so it’s fine.”
The series is especially exciting and new because it will showcase tons of other comics, as they’ve never been seen on TV before: uncensored and unfiltered. The network has ordered up eight half hour episodes and at this point remains untitled. Comedians appearing on the show will be both veterans and rising comics who are just making a name for themselves. Next on the table, Comedy Central is ordering up a new one-hour special from Attell. This is crazy exciting for Attell’s fans since his last one hour special was five years ago, when he preformed Captain Miserable. Both the hour special and the new series are set to run in 2014.
