Dave Chappelle (and a literal goat) crash Chris Rock and Kevin Hart’s show at MSG

Over the weekend, Chris Rock and Kevin Hart took the stage for part of their mini-tour “Headliners Only” at Madison Square Garden. The pair was appearing there all weekend. And you know with a show that big, there’s bound to be some surprises.

One such surprise was Dave Chappelle, who walked out onstage smoking a cigarette to no official announcement as Radiohead played throughout the venue. This comes after last week’s news that Chappelle’s show in Minneapolis at First Avenue was canceled and moved to another venue. As he walked onstage, he proclaimed “I had to sneak my way in here.”

During his 22-minute set onstage, he talked about the controversy, as well as what happened when he got attacked at the Hollywood Bowl, and the backlash he received from his “It was a trans man” comment that night.

After his set, he was followed by Rock and then Hart. At the end of the show, all 3 men came out onstage for a bit. It was at this point that Hart gave Rock the gift he had for him. While many may call Chris Rock the GOAT, Hart gave a confused Chris Rock a literal goat wearing chains. It seems the goat was a bit new to all that attention, as he had an accident onstage. It was Hart’s idea to name the goat Will Smith.

Much like Conan O’Brien after he was gifted a horse from David Letterman, now Chris Rock has to figure out what the hell he’s gonna do with a goat.
