Tom Hanks make his David S. Pumpkins return to “Saturday Night Live” for Halloween

October 31, 2022      Andrew Buss      News, Saturday Night Live

Just in time for Halloween, it’s the return of David S. Pumpkins.

Fans of the Tom Hanks character were in for a treat on this past weekend’s Saturday Night Live, which was hosted by Jack Harlow. Hanks popped up into a sketch halfway through the show, leading many to believe that David S. Pumpkins would be back. This lead to further speculation with Bobby Moynihan returned to Weekend Update as Drunk Uncle.

A David S. Pumpkins sketch did in fact happen and it was the first time in a few years we’ve seen him. The set up and delivery were pretty much identical to the last sketch that fans remember. Still, it was great to see Hanks back on the show, joined by his dancing skeletons played by Moynihan and Mikey Day.
