There’s one thing to be said about creative and driven people, they don’t sit around waiting for their next job, they create their work. Wow! That last sentence sounded very much like Adam Carolla.
Since Leary’s show Rescue Me is ending it’s run on FX this summer after 7 seasons, the comedian is shifting his focus on another civil servant job for his new series…paramedics. Leary just inked a deal with USA networks to write/produce a half-hour sitcom based on the British series Sirens which follows the antics of young medical responders. Leary will work with Bob Fisher (who’s behind the unfortunately canceled FOX sitcom Traffic Light) to put the show together. There aren’t plans for him to star in the new sitcom but he could play a minor character.
So for those keeping count we got cops, firefighters, and now paramedics. Props to Leary for bringing good vibes to selfless jobs.
