Netflix has been on top of their game this past week, with announcing the October comedy specials of Nikki Glaser, Jenny Slate, And Arsenio Hall. Now we can add comedian Deon Cole to that list as he gets his first hour long special with the streaming giant.
“Chicago’s own Deon Cole is relentlessly hilarious in his first hour-long Netflix original comedy special, Deon Cole: Cole Hearted,” Netflix announced in a statement yesterday. “Doubling down on his unrestrained and engaging set from the Netflix stand-up comedy series, The Standups, Cole beta tests bottomless jokes about offering mints to strangers, dining while Black, post-sex salutations and the preservation of comedy as the last raw form of expression.”
Deon Cole is best known for his work as a stand up and former writer/performer for Conan. He’s also gone on to become a regular on two hit series with black-ish and Angie Tribeca. His first collaboration with Netflix on their half-hour showcase The Standups can be streamed now.
