We’ve noticed a trend here at TLB. That trend is to make sure you mention that every comedy being released in 2010 is “This Year’s The Hangover” It’s guaranteed to make people say something to the effect of “wha? really?”
Well, here’s a movie that could potentially be this year’s The Hangover and we have a few facts to back up this claim.
– It has a ridiculously simple premise
– It features a cast member from The Office
– It has Zach Galifianakis doing what he does best…weird bearded guy
– It was directed by a director who actually has done funny films in the past
Add on a touch of The 40 Year Old Virgin magic of the Steve Carell / Paul Rudd comedy stylings and we might have what one would call an all-star comedy cast.
Other funny people like Kristen Schaal and Jeff Dunham (cast as surprise! A ventriloquist) round out the cast.
The film was directed by Jay Roach (Meet The Parents, Austin Powers and will be released on July 23rd. You can preview the trailer now and see if it’s going to make your summer movie-viewing list.
