Donald Glover To Be The First Host Of The mtvU Woodie Awards
March 2, 2011 Matt Kleinschmidt Donald Glover, News, Television
Donald Glover will be the first-ever host of the mtvU Woodie Awards. Pretty much ensuring the Community star will have a busy Spring. Last week he announced his IAMDONALD stand-up comedy tour and now he’s going to oversee a wild party where they give away awards named after a wang.
The Woodies will go down March 16th, airing live at midnight on MTV, MTV2, and mtvU from SXSW (yes, ANOTHER thing to do in Austin that week) with performances from Wiz Khalifa, Sleigh Bells, Odd Future, and Two Door Cinema Club, plus not-yet-announced presenters.
Glover shot a quick video for followers where he promises to at least be drunk enough to drop some f-bombs live on the air, so that alone is worth tuning in.
