Get ready to drink it all in! Drunk History is coming back for season 7.

Created by Derek Waters, whom we have spoken with many times over the years about the show, it has gone from being just a silly internet thing done amongst friends to being a juggernaut for Comedy Central. In a time when so many people seem to be turning to Netflix And countless other avenues for their content, Drunk History has been their gift that just keeps on giving.

The premise, which everyone should know by now but we will now describe anyway, is simple. You have a celebrity narrator slamming down drinks and proceeding to tell a story that gets jumbled and more maligned the drunker they get. To paint a picture, you have plenty of talented celebrities reenacting their drunken tales. Some of the past contributors to the series are some of the biggest names in comedy today including Elijah Wood, Tiffany Haddish, Jack Black, Bill Hader, Bob Odenkirk, Aubrey Plaza, and Seth Rogen.

Additionally, Comedy Central has also tapped Waters for a first-look deal for additional content for both their T.V. and digital platform.

“I couldn’t be more excited about this new relationship with Comedy Central,” said Waters in a press statement. “They took a chance on me and have been fantastic in supporting Drunk History over the past six seasons. I look forward to creating thoughtful, entertaining and hilarious programming.”
