Eddie Izzard Joins The Cast Of “Tara”

Eddie Izzard is coming back to television for the first time since his run on the FX show The Riches.

Deadline Hollywood reports that the British comedian/actor/runner will be joining the 3rd season of the Showtime comedy series United States Of Tara.

Izzard will have a major recurring role this season staring opposite Toni Collette who plays Tara, the show’s main character, who suffers from multiple personality syndrome. Izzard’s role will be as the intelligent psychology professor who first starts off as a skeptic of Tara’s disorder but soon becomes fascinated with her.

Izzard and the show are supposed to start production mid september.
