You probably thought you wouldn’t be able to wait another month to finally see the long-awaited Anchorman sequel. Now you won’t have to. Yesterday, Paramount announced that they’re moving the release date of Anchorman: The Legend Continues a few days, from December 20 to December 18. The move probably isn’t related to Ron Burgundy fatigue, but more to distance itself from the rush of films opening a week later, on Christmas Day. Opening on JC’s birthday are the Martin Scorcese-directed The Wolf of Wall Street starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Ben Stiller‘s The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, the Keanu Reeves film 47 Ronin and the Sylvester Stallone/Robert DeNiro comedy Grudge Match. Anchorman will share its slightly earlier opening date with the wide expansion of the Bradley Cooper-starring American Hustle and Disney’s Saving Mr. Banks.
