The Eugene Mirman Comedy Festival documentary, “It Started as a Joke” coming April 3rd

Here’s something new for comedy fans to look forward today. Today it was announced that comedian Eugene Mirman’s documentary, It Started as a Joke, will be released on VOD on April 3rd. The documentary is about Mirman’s 10 year run as the curator of The Eugene Mirman Comedy Festival.
The documentary, which has been picked up by Gravitas Ventures, is described as celebrating “Eugene’s unique brand of humor and his role in the alternative comedy movement.” It also boasts appearances from some of the best comedians in the biz, including Michael Ian Black, Kristen, Schaal, Kumail Nanjiani, Reggie Watts, Michael Showalter, Janeane Garofalo, Jim Gaffigan, Jon Glaser, Mike Birbiglia, and Bobcat Goldthwait, among others.
The documentary, which is directed by Julie Smith Clem and Kevin Druckerman, is available for pre-order now.
