Those Who Can’t, the very popular first ever scripted original series from truTV will be making the trek down to Austin, TX to showcase the series’ talented comedic stars. And they will have some of their hilarious friends in tow as well. The core of television series revolves around characters played by Andy Orvedahl, Adam Cayton-Holland, and Ben Roy. Collectively, outside of said show, they form The Grawlix. The comedy troupe, which was renamed from Los Comicos Super Hilariosos to its current name in 2011, hails from Denver, CO and performed regular monthly shows that featured themselves alongside some of comedy’s strongest in Arj Barker, Maria Bamford, Tig Notaro, and Moshe Kasher. And now they are bringing that show to SXSW.
truTV will be presenting this much anticipated and stand-out showcase at the famed Ester’s Follies on Sunday March 13 at 10pm during the “Interactive” portion of the festival which runs March 11 – 15. The lineup not only features The Grawlix, but also Rory Scovel (Those Who Can’t, HBO’s Animals., Ground Floor) Morgan Murphy (The Jim Gaffigan Show, 2 Broke Girls, and writer for Late Night with Jimmy Fallon and Jimmy Kimmel Live!), and Baron Vaughn (Grace and Frankie, Comedy Bang! Bang!, Fairly Legal).
You can catch Those Who Can’t on truTV every Thursday 10:30/9:30c which is now a part of an ever growing comedy lineup on the network including 10 Things with comedian Jamie Lee, Billy on the Street, Impractical Jokers, and the recently debuted Late Night Snack from Rachel Dratch.
As for truTV presents Those Who Can’t with The Grawlix, the show is FREE with your SXSW badge. However, it will definitely be filled to capacity, so arrive early to make sure you have the opportunity to see what will be one of the most talked about comedy events at SXSW 2016. We’ll see you there!
