There’s no doubt that It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia has been quite successful. So why wouldn’t you want to continue that tradition through relative means. FOX has ordered a pilot from It’s Always Sunny duo John Chernin (Date Night, The Heartbreak Kid) and Dave Chernin. The brothers will be writing the script for The Mick, which according to The Hollywood Reporter, is a “comedy revolving around a hard-living, foul-mouthed woman who moves to affluent Greenwich, Conn., to raise the spoiled kids of her wealthy sister who has fled the country to avoid a federal indictment. She quickly learns what everyone else already knows: other people’s children are awful.”
And FOX isn’t stopping there as far as comedy is concerned. They already have two additional comedies in the works, new series Son of Zorn and an untitled time travel comedy pilot from Julius “Goldie” Sharpe (The Grinder, Family Guy).
