Out with the old and in with the new. As we revel in the loss of some of our favorite shows through cancellation, we have the opportunity to at the same to get excited for what’s coming our way. That includes three new FOX comedies. Making History, The Mick, and Son of Zorn. Here’s the breakdown on all three:
Three friends from two different centuries try to balance the thrill of time travel with the mundane concerns of their everyday lives. The show is written by Julius Sharpe (Family Guy, The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson) and stars the likes of Adam Pally (Happy Endings), Leighton Meester (Gossip Girl), Matt Servitto (Your Pretty Face Is Going to Hell), and Yassir Lester (Girls).
The show follows Mackenzie a brash, two-bit hustler from Rhode Island who must assume guardianship of her sister’s three high-maintenance children. The Mick is written by Chris Henchy (Eastbound & Down) and Marco Pennette (Mom). The series stars Kaitlin Olson (It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia), Thomas Barbusca (Another Period), Susan Park (Vice Principals, Fresh Off the Boat), and Carla Jimenez (Last Man Standing).
Son of Zorn
An animated warrior from a faraway island in the Pacific Ocean returns to Orange County, CA, to win back his live-action ex-wife and teenage son. The show combines both live action and animation. The show stars Jason Sudeikis (Saturday Night Live), Cameron Monaghan (Shameless), Cheryl Hines (Curb Your Enthusiasm), and Tim Meadows (Saturday Night Live).
