FX Renews “Louie”, greenlights a sci-fi comedy show

August 3, 2010      Ilya      Louie, Louis C.K., News, Television

There is justice in the world…so far. Not destined to suffer the same fate as his previous attempt on HBO, Louis C.K.’s show Louie is being renewed for another season. Let’s hope that this won’t become another Arrested Development so make sure to give this show the love it so richly deserves.

FX is also approving a sci-fi comedy show from the brains of Thomas Lennon and Ben Garant, the creators of Reno 911. Essentially this sounds like Reno 911 in space (which isn’t necessarily a bad thing). The show will be called USS Alabama and will feature the signature Reno-esq half scripted/half improvised style.

Between this and It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, FX is setting itself up to be a major comedy player. What other shows would you like to see get another season or get the ax?
