HBO is set to air a two-part, four-hour documentary about the life Garry Shandling. Judd Apatow is overseeing the project as he was a close friend of Shandling and was mentored by the late, great comedian until his passing in 2016. Brooks, Sarah Silverman, Jim Carrey, Conan O’Brien, and Jerry Seinfeld pop into the documentary. Apatow calls Shandling “the most important mentor that I had” even though confessing he was a mystery to him as well.
