Hannibal Buress just announced the release of his next stand-up special. Miami Nights will drop on his Youtube page on July 3rd. Buress made the announcement just a few moments ago, taking many by surprise. You can RSVP for the watching directly on his website, or as he put it, “just watch it then.”
This adds some major name firepower to the latest trend of comedians making their hour specials available for free to fans on the largest open video platform in the world, Youtube. Andrew Schulz, Sam Morril, Mark Normand, Chad Daniels, Yannis Pappas, Joe List, Mark Normand have all released hours in the last year and by all accounts they’ve all been super-successful. Hitting 6-7 figure digits in streaming numbers in the process. Just today alone, Dave Chappelle did just the same by dropping a half hour, just days after Jim Gaffigan put out a set on the same platform.
