On Thursday, Trevor Noah is hosting his final episode of The Daily Show. After he hangs up his hat, the show will be going on hiatus until January 17th.
When the show picks back up in 2023 it will feature a revolving door of guest hosts, until a new permanent host starts in the fall 2023. While a long stretch of time before then Comedy Central announced some of who those guest hosts will be.
Al Franken, Chelsea Handler, D. L. Hughley, Leslie Jones, John Leguizamo, Hasan Minhaj, Kal Penn, Sarah Silverman, Wanda Sykes and Marlon Wayans will kick things off as guest hosts. Certain correspondents like Ronny Chieng, Dulcé Sloan, Roy Wood Jr., and Jordan Klepper are also expected to get their shot at guest hosting.
“As we enter Trevor’s final week, we want to thank him for his many contributions,“ said Chris McCarthy, President/CEO Paramount Media Networks. “Trevor redefined the show, as did Jon Stewart before him, and as we look to the future, we are excited to reimagine it yet again with the help of this incredible list of talent and correspondents along with the immensely talented Daily Show team.”
