Hashtag this: A couple got engaged on last night’s live “@midnight”

 February 15, 2017      Sam      @midnight, News, Television

Last night, @midnight helped an audience member make one of the most memorable proposals of all time – live, on air, in front of the world and “Weird Al”.

The game show, which has been shooting live all week, invited #soulmates Emily and Brian onstage all night for a romantic Valentine’s Day dinner as the show happened, they’d check in with them from time to time. The couple had initially bonded over their love for @midnight. At the end of the episode they asked them to share a glass of wine and their #MyLoveLifeIn5Words hashtags. Emily (who seems pretty awesome) went with #PullDownMySpanxCowboy, while Brian (visibly excited to propose to such an awesome lady) pauses for a moment of faux contemplation before asking, #EmilyWillYouMarryMe?

Guests Mary-Lynn Rajskub, Al Jackson, and Weird Al were as delighted as the rest of us.

The final question of the night involved the panel giving the couple their best wedding toast and Emily and Brian even selected the winner.
