If you don’t know, the city of Weehawken is located in New Jersey and sits right outside of New York City. But it also houses an array of talent comedians and storytellers. And we’re not talking about the home offices of The Laugh Button.
A new comedy show is brewing in Weehawken it’s called The Hawk show, shortened for Weehawken. Comedian and Weehawken resident, Susie Felber, constructed the show. Felber hosted her own variety show in Manhattan for years and now she’s trying something new. Her goal is to attract new fans to her show from the North Hudson community. Felber believes that the area in and around Weehawken is teaming with up and coming talent just waiting to be discovered. New York City’s own Jessica Delfino, a musical comedian, describes Felber’s comedy style as “quirky” and “demented” according to NJ.com and is curious to see the response to her show will be. Delfino will perform at its first show. The Hawk Show will also host special guests such as Nancy Giles of CBS Sunday Morning, Chris Tsakis of WFMU and SiriusXM, Bob Shea who is an award winning author and illustrator, and Harmon Leon an author featured in Esquire and VICE.
Safe to say the show is rounding up an interesting cast and Felber’s of-the-wall comedy styling’s will hopefully bring the show publicity. Each session will feature different bands and acts so stay tuned, the first show premieres this weekend, June 15th, and the second on July 13th at 7pm on the third floor of the re-launched Park Avenue Bar and Grill. The venue sits on the Manhattan skyline on Weehawken’s border at 3417 Park Ave.
