HBO’s “Barry” to end with season four

March 7, 2023      Andrew Buss      News, Television

Since its debut in 2018, Barry has become a favorite with fans and critics alike. The series – which stars Bill Hader – has ran so far for three seasons on HBO and racked up numerous Emmy Awards. There have also been rumors that the show may be ending with season four. Now, we’ve learned that is the case.

While writing the fourth season, Hader and co-creator Alec Berg realized a “very clear ending presented itself,” according to Variety.

“What happens in Season 4,” Hader teases, “is structurally radical in some ways, but it made sense for what I think the characters needed to go through, and what I think the whole show is always kind of headed towards.”

Season four of the show premieres on April 16th on HBO.
