Here are the highlights from comedians hosting election specials last night
November 4, 2020 Andrew Buss News
Last night, everybody in the country had their eyes glued to their TVs and Twitter, waiting to see what would happen with the presidential election. In a very tight race that is far from over even this morning, for most there was an overall feeling of exhaustion, restlessness, anxiety, and beyond. And that is going to continue well into today, it seems like.
If you were a comedy fan last night, as we wrote about yesterday morning, you had tons of material to choose from. On the television side of things, you had Stephen Colbert and Trevor Noah with their specials. These specials were basically what you’d expect them to be, as they were echoing sort of what we were all thinking. It is hard to write in real time as the results are coming in. Below you can watch all of Trevor Noah’s Votegasm, as well as a clip from Stephen Colbert’s election special on Showtime.
On the internet side of things, there were a few different offerings that we’ve highlighted below. First up was The Joe Rogan Experience. Last night, Joe had on Alex Jones, Kyle Kulinski, and Tim Dillon as guests in an episode that ranged about 3 hours and 45 minutes. Next up saw The Comedy Cellar bring in an array of different voices ranging from
comedians, politicians, and beyond to cover the election results on their YouTube channel. That lasted just under 6 hours. And then finally, Pauly Shore wound up having a Donald Trump impersonator on his streaming special that lasted a little under 5 hours. (But it also included a few random hour long breaks spread throughout).
No word yet on if we’ll see any additional specials coming out tonight as votes are still being counted. The late night talk shows will definitely be something you won’t want to miss, though!
